That is one of those one of a kind movie props someone will prob squirl away somewhere just for the 'joy' of hording it.
It is one of the reason I do not buy movie props. Though there have been a few that were tempting. Like the pink blood splattered elephant from bad santa. Or a sg1 staff weapon. It would just sit in my house and then no one would see it.

I kind of get it... the idea that you have the actual thing that Harrison Ford was holding on screen is pretty cool. If you had a nicely displayed collection of Star Wars memorabilia, it would be a cool centerpiece. I just don't have the collector gene, though, so I wouldn't pay 1/10 what they're asking.

There's a recycle shop close by with a light saber in a case with a plaque signed by Mark Hamill for less than $500. Could very well be the real deal (it certainly looks lit).
If you want, I'll grab it and sell it to you for $1,000

At that price, I'd guess the signature is real but the prop is a replica. If you can prove it's a real, screen-used prop, I'd gladly take it for $1000 and flip it for a hell of a lot more.
