Are people still trying to run emulators on a 486?

What benefit (if there are any) is there for somebody to use Raine instead of MAME? The only thing I could think of is if somebody has a really really old computer that's slow as ballz. So does Raine offer any benefits over MAME?

Imaging people still using Commodore 64 or what ever because people like them still love it. I know my friend does. I don't get it. I been raise as a gamer not a computer nerd.

The last time I looked Raine supported EmuDX, which if you like EmuDX is a benefit.
I don't personally think EmuDX went far enough, re-skinning a game is boring. I want to play donkey kong in 3d with a selection of camera angles, kinda like Mario 64 but you can't move left or right. Your movement in donkey kong is basically forward/backward/rotate 90 degrees and jump, not sure how you'd map that to donkey kong if you were viewing from behind mario. Solving those problems is the fun though.
