Can someone help me find the name of this game?

Sorry to bother you all with another post like this, but like many others I'm reminiscing about a game I used to play as a kid in the arcades.
It was a beat em up and I remember there was a girl and a guy you could use (possibly 2 guys) and it side scrolled. I think every character had this 'shoryuken' type move that attacked the enemies and made the player character go very high into the air.
I'm sorry for being so vague but this is all I can remember, I can't remember the developer, but I can say I played it around 93' (it's most likely slightly older than that) any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Sounds like Undercover Cops.

No, it wasn't undercover cops, I'm pretty familiar with that game. The character sprites were smaller.

The only other beat 'em up I can think of with a girl as a playable character is Streets of Rage. Maybe you saw that in a Mega Tech or Mega Play cabinet?

No, I'm certain it wasn't streets of rage. One of the stages was a forest type stage.

Your description is not only vague, but also generic (applies to almost any beat'em up game).
The best advice I could give you is to check this list and let us know if you found it yourself.
BTW, my guess is maybe it could be Legionnaire.

I take back what I said, it indeed matchs the description. Problem now is:
- The OP may not see this thread again depending on his settings.
- The game while running is unplayable on MAME.
EDIT: Here I'm talking without checking dates again.
