I use to love that game on Atari 800. I think I will play it now. These are games that should be added to the software list in MESS. I play it fine without it in the list but still would be nice since most of the great games on Atari 800 were on tape or disc.
edit: Well I just got my a.... kicked by the computer on MESS lol

Agreed. I've put many hours into Star League Baseball on my C64 back in the day...

Man that brings back memories.
That's the one the the ball will always travel to the center of the screen before it would move down field right?

Yeah, you're not kidding. You had to get pretty lucky in order to win because of the computer AI "cheating." I remembered the instruction manual mentioning some sort of award if you managed to beat the computer so I dug out the instruction manual and scanned that page. I remember the first time I managed to beat the game I took a bunch of pictures of the screen but none of them were clear after getting the film developed. Ahhh, the shitty old days before digital cameras :-). I remember it took a while to beat it the first time because as soon as you started getting ahead the computer would start hitting dingers left and right.

I do love a good game of Baseball Stars 2 (or 2020 BB). What's the other (NES?) game?

Haha, never really played any BBall games. Well, maybe one at my cousin's house back in the early 90's. I just never owned one. That and RolePlaying games.
Anyway, I always though this looked cool.

The filename says: Dusty Diamond's All-Star Softball. For the NES.
It doesn't feature Screech, just so you know.

My addictions were to BaseWars, simply because it was awesome if you hit enough of the other team's batters they'd have to forfeit because they all blew up. Hehe.
My other favorite was Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball on the SNES. It had the MLB License, but not the MLBPA license. So it had all the real stadiums and teams, but the players were named random things. Even though their numbers and stats matched the real life guys, they didn't have the license so they used fake names. I remember spending hours going through that and editing all the names to the real life names of players. Heh.
