How is it that clrmamepro can report missing sets, but no missing roms? This happens when not checking for chds.

Eh? First of all, this is not the cmpro forum. Secondly, of course cmpro reports missing set, roms, samples, chds and and and...

Didn't mean it as a clearmamepro question. I meant it as what is considered a set that is not a rom.
My audit reports 0/213880 missing ROM's, but I have missing SETS 72/28662
Just didn't seem to make sense to have missing SETs when you have all the roms?
I am not scanning for CHD's

A set can include CHDs as well as zipped binary ROM files. For each missing set, create an empty folder with that name in your rom directory. That should produce the results you seek.
There's probably some way to get clrmamepro to automatically create the empty set folders, but I've never figured out how.

a set is a collection of roms and/or samples and/or chds. there chd only sets as well as sample only sets. so it fully makes sense.
if you don't scan for chds but for sets you of course get warnings about sets which only consist of chds.
Sets scan checks for the containers (folds, archives) while roms sample and chd checks investigate the files on the containers
