Can anyone recommend a PC gamepad that has it so i can play the Pacman series & others the way they're meant to be played? Not looking for an arcade style joystick yet, would like to find a cheap Playstation clone style gamepad or something close if it's out there
Thanks, Steve

I've never heard of a gamepad that actually blocks diagonals, though the PS controller makes them stupidly difficult. It's the worst designed thumb pad in the history of gaming but if you want it, there are PlayStation controller to PC usb adapters on eBay for very cheap.

Have to disagree on that.
Actually, it's the best It's just not designed for 4-way gaming, which in PS's defense is not really what they're into anyway for precision 8-way gaming, Dualshock above all.
Oh, and in history? N64 anyone? those f*ckers hurt

I'd rate the 360's d-pad worst in history in terms of actually being able to control anything without spurious diagonals all over the place. It's horrific trying to pull off any special moves in SOTN (which uses SF2-style quarter and half-circle motions).

I have that same problem on the moves as well. Like the Left half clock to the right and then hit O or squire. Took me more than 2 mins get this to work. You gotta press down hard. Heh. Other wise it misses the arrows on the pad. I think the stick be much better.
