Galaga 3 load

I promised I looked all over the net. I'm using the most recent (2012) mame. I'm trying to get galaga 3 running properly. I'm using a windows 8 p.c. I've tried downloading several roms sets and the 52xx bin file and the 62xxx bin file. I even used rom center and that program reports the game as good to go. When I use rom center to play the game I get a brief loading (says loading) screen then it stops. Mame itself reports missing roms and the game title itself is greyed in the mame display, but the box below says it's working. I'm quiet confused and not sure even where to post this. I have another game, Frenzy and it works fine. Ive already used the search options for galaga 3 and got the galaga 30th collection. It seems that collection is not available for p.c.

It's 2013 so use 0.149 or 0.149u1 build which can be searched out in the news section of the forums.
Also, ditch romcenter and look at ClrmamePro
