Problems with HLSL not showing

In the newest MAME 148u5, I don't see HLSL showing up in the slider menu anymore after turning it on. Did something change? My last download was 148. I do see some new effects added in the recent version. Does that have something to do with it?

I’m convinced Mario is a hobo.
He wakes up everyday in the same clothes, runs around in sewers, and collects coins for a living.
At the end of the day, he uses the coins to buy mushrooms

Use version 149 and be sure to copy the hlsl directory and overwrite what's in your MAME path because the .fx files have changed.
It also might help to create a fresh mame.ini because there will be some differences.
