Using the newest mame148u5 and now I don't get any color overlay in vector games like armor attack or battlezone. Everything is just white. Anybody having this issue?

same here with hlsl set to 0, change it to 1 and it works.

Would you rather all work be stopped and it removed entirely from the source?

I and many other people are enjoying the changes and progress that is being made.

If you don't have the patience and intelligence to make adjustments so things are looking good, then you're probably better off disabling it entirely.

Having it enabled is not a requirement.

I'm still tweaking along the way making adjustments etc.

I'll check it out but I also changed the beam from 1.0 to 1.5 looks a little better in games like asteroids so at least you can see the bullets. Also under core screen options I changed the gamma to 3.0 contrast to 2.0 and left the brightness at 1.0 for vector games.

Any way to simulate the trails effects of the bullets in asteroids and asteroids deluxe in these new settings?

Try playing w/ the phosphor life setting. I'm using these right now, note it will also impact your raster games.

Other wise you will get a heavy glowing fogging screen or white paper screen.

Why don't you put all the new bloom effects settings in vector.ini so they only apply to vector games?
