Trying to find a games name!

Hello,
I hope this is posted in the correct area.
First I'd like to make it clear I'm not asking for a game or a rom, I am only seeking a name.
I played an arcade game around the late 70's or early-mid 80's and I loved it but I simply cannot remember its name at all, I live in a holiday town and in that era it was full of arcade machines, some like space invaders, galaxians and other popular machines had rows of the same machine, but this game, was the only one in the whole town, I'll try my best to describe the game and hope someone knows of it.
It was a vampire hunting game, the screen had a castle right at the top with doors, right at the bottom was a graveyard. You played a vicar or priest and your weapon was a cross, when you threw it it went around and came back boomerang style.
There was people walking about and vampires came out of the castle doors to get them, you used the cross to kill them, also if you positioned yourself at the top of the screen, you could toss the cross into the castle when the doors opened and it would destroy the castle and begin a new level.
Does anyone remember what its called? I've been searching for years, I distinctly remember the game, have no idea of the name though

Could it be this? I came across it recently (sometime in January), never heard of it. http://www.slither-gdi.net/vampire.htm
I guess not, you're playing a vampire, not a vampire hunter...

The Dracula Hunter jpeg screen image somewhat matches your description.
I have never seen the game before, but it appears Dracula Hunter, if info from ShimaPong is correct, was released within same year range when Space Invaders and Galaxian were very popular.
If it isn't Dracula Hunter then check other game names on Bobby Tribble's unMAMEd page.
http://unmamed.mameworld.info/non_other80.html
And for now, Dracula Hunter is not emulated because of likely possibility of no one has yet dumped roms from a pcb of this game.
Maybe there's a chance sometime later. It wasn't until 2012 when sought after games like Data East's Angler Dangler and Manhattan were emulated along with Planet Probe.
>I've been searching for years, I distinctly remember the game, have no idea of the name though
Been there and done that with long sought after game names of film reel versions of Nintendo Wild Gunman and Nintendo Sky Hawk.

Same here. I didn't know they were also involved with an entertainment-action game.
I only know of that company name with searching TAFA web site and that's it. -- Entertainment Enterprises flyers

It's interesting that even to this day there are some game names that have slipped by not listed on info sites including pong clones like A1 Amusement Products' SCORE
http://www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/sho...part=1&vc=1
A1 Amusement Products Model: SCORE
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tennis-and-Pong-...57#ht_177wt_917
-- Classic PONG arcade game in working condition. Manufactured by "A1 Amusement Products", Model: "SCORE". I have no idea when it was made. I have owned it about 15 years. Video display is good (two colors: green and black), sound is good (two sounds: ping and pong). All four paddles work. Player 4 rheostat needs cleaning. Original doors with locks are in place. I don't have the keys but I have removed all the lock tumblers except one, so any object remotely resembling a key will open the machine. Original coin mechanism and coin box are in place. An external switch box (just under the overhanging table-top and not visible in the pictures) has a power on/off toggle switch, and a "Coin deposited" push button. Each push mimics a quarter inserted. One push for two paddles, two pushes for four paddles. Then you select if you want to play against the machine, or not, and push "Start". The "Free Game" light does work but requires a better player than me! Glass top is totally flat and waterproof, so this really is a cocktail table. Case is made of particle board with a wood-like finish, and overall, the machine is VERY heavy. --

Definitely impressed with your work on this. :-)
It is a bummer that the 'tools' that are available these days weren't around in spring 2002 when you found the Nintendo WG game name for me back then.

Your first post was on 03/26/13 12:10 PM and you revisit the old thread on 02/09/16....almost 3 years in the making...but fortunately Stiletto now has the game name covered for you so I guess revisiting the old thread nearly 3 years later was worthwhile since it gave Stiletto time to find everything.
See video clip also from undumped Wiki page

>I have to try and find a working copy now.
Finding the name will be easier than finding the pcb. It might be a modified pcb that looks similar to Taito Space Invaders 8080 hardware pcbs and maybe sought after by various collectors in Japan/Asian region. It will be tough finding that unless ShouTime [emufriendly contributor] might be able to find that pcb. 1970s/early 1980s games from Japan region are expensive, and what remaining games not yet emulated from that era will require extra money to be spent. The last one that comes to mind is Nintendo's Monkey Magic which went into the 4 figure dollar spent range iirc.
I am also guessing the game will use discrete / analog audio for generating sound effects. Even if a pcb were found and roms dumped...and game is emulated...the audio will be missing unless someone that has EE skills like couriersud can emulate the analog audio components.

Yes, well, some tools 'available' then aren't available now... Time progresses, and there's a trade-off for 'new tools' versus 'old tools'.

I am note sure what 'old tools' have been lost, but Google/Youtube videos is one area that has been huge in so many ways besides emulation. If it were possible to having YouTube back in years 2000 to 2003 when I was trying to find old arcade game names, that probably would have saved me some searching time. Last game name that had eluded me until Spring 2003 was film projection screen game Nintendo Skyhawk.
