Sounds like he got hacked. I remember after the hurricane, he mentioned that the site is hosted on a server in his basement. He doesn't strike me as someone who is all that tech savvy, I'd imagine its not the most secure web server that ever existed.

It's a very self contained operation.
I can't even imagine why you'd do that, though. He's probably paying through the nose for a connection with enough bandwidth and a fixed IP, not to mention the hassles of maintaining the physical hardware. I can't imagine there's any advantage at all over having a proper web host.
