Tell me it picks up the fuckering pace please. I've watched the first 3 episodes. The first 2 are a fucking hour and a half each and barely set up the story without repeating itself. Literally in the third they are falling asleep from doing the same thing over and over for five days with no sleep. This turd, I mean third is 40+ something minutes itself. You could have done the story of all of them thoroughly with 20 minutes each. The suspense is not a good fun suspense. It's a fucking I'm done with the goddamn series unless one of you can convince me it picks up the pace stretched out make me want to murder the director absolute fucking bullshit.

You know, I watched the pilot for that, and I think I even had all of the episodes ready to go through Amazon, and I never got around to watching them. The pilot wasn't terrible, but it just wasn't all that compelling, either.
I haven't finished the animated series but my minireview of it will be a disappointment to fans. I feel like I should have run into it first when I was a kid and I could have taken it as seriously as it deserves, the stories at least. I like the stories but it doesn't keep my attention - no animation does anymore besides comedies. Their acting seems off too, they don't pull it off, it's not the same, I'm not convinced it's serious/real and it throws it all off.
Haven't finished off a decent enough review of the real series but will at some point. I think the only one I published here was for TNG so far. I'm almost done with my DS9 rant. Should have started the others when they were fresh watches. Might be a long wait.
It's the pace. Don't get me wrong, even if that was fixed and new stories flowed it would still not be Star Trek, but OMG the pace! The pace makes me want to kill!

The hallucinating doctor isn't believable/realistic on multiple levels and giving a cigar to the chick pilot, my eyes rolled so hard I saw my brain. But it does have good qualities.

It's kinda like reading Dune...most scifi fans do it because they feel it's something they have to do for scifi cred. Also, BSG worked better as a weekly series rather than trying to consume it in huge netflix sized blocks.

Not only should you two finally just get it on, you should get butthole tattoos afterward to commemorate the occasion.
