Achieving arcade look with hlsl

Hi,
This may have been asked quite a few times, although I couldn't find exactly what I'm looking for, but what are the closest settings for hlsl to get the old arcade look on an lcd?

It's actually similiar to the settings I use

but I find them too dark and "missing" details. For example in Viper Phase 1 you can barely see the engineers running at the begging of level 1.

When you start the game you can hit the tab buttons and scroll to slider options and change the setting there so you can see it in real time. This will not save the settings though when you exit the game. When you find the settings you like then save them in the ini file.
