Question to devs
#302014 - 01/06/13 12:37 AM

Hi. I was just wondering if any mamedevs are working or trying to get a preliminary taito gnet sound driver working? (For music)

Just curious.

It's on my to-do list, just not near the front right now.

I thought we weren't supposed to bother the devs about what they're working on, since doing that guarantees it won't be worked on?

It was right at the top of his to-do list before the question was posted.

It still doesn't change the fact that they don't like to be bothered about it.

True, but 10 points to Gryffindor for DMala's correct decoding of my hidden joke

Still, 2013 looks to be the Year of MAME/MESS Audio so you never know what all that's going to encompass.

(MPEG for Sega games right now, MIDI I/O very soon, multichannel/multisoundcard output slightly less soon...)

Nice. I think audio is so important in games, but maybe that's because I'm a musician myself. Looking forward to see what you guys come up what!
