Is it bad, I don't really miss my siblings?
#299346 - 11/19/12 03:50 AM

Never been that close to my family. I do have a favorite, one of my brothers who was also in the Navy, that I enjoy spending time with on occasion and I have the utmost respect for him. I think the rest of my family are a bunch of nutjobs.

Just got word that my oldest sister has breast cancer. Invasive Carsinoma. My only thought is that it must be both scary and sad for her and her family... but I seem pretty numb to it. I must be a heartless SOB.

Just broke my personal record for number of consecutive days without dying!

My experience has been that, when you first get horrible news like that, it can be hard to process. You feel like you should have some kind of emotional response to it, but there's just nothing. Don't beat yourself up too much about it, the emotion will come in time.
