Yep. Good to see the game emulated in a working state and hopefully pcb can be fully fixed.

New video from Haze shows off the 2nd-6th place high score music, and it sounds pretty much like what Bisboch remembered:

For reference, here's what Bisboch remembered:

Amazing!

Yep. If Bisboch was a champion of always getting top score all the time, it would have only been the top/high score melody only memorized. ;-) *kidding*

Anyway, good memory on his part for recalling the runner-up melody tune.

+1

Good memory, locked down the mood and tempo perfectly!!

I can't imagine how it must feel having that stuck in your head and then hearing it again after 25 years.

Yeah, Sune, it should be a very good feeling.

That picture resembles Exerion to me... Anyway, kudos to everyone who make it possible to come up and put it to work.

Well done.

I wish more of these types of 'feel good' stories were documented....

ahahahah that's so true. I wasn't a good player at all! Furthermore, other guys at the beach bar where I played were really strong, capable of looping the game several times! After all, the record holder is some Antonello Castrianni with 9,151,580 points... scary. Even scarier than remembering that tune for 26 years:D
But now... there's some gaming to do;)

A Bubble Bobble AC full level hack (and more!) by Bisboch and Aladar: The Lost Cave! Released December 11th, 2012.

I sure can.
Sound has always been extremely important to me in gaming and many game tunes and sound effects are permanently locked away in my brain.
Hearing those sounds again over Mame's lifetime has been one happy moment after another.

Cinematronics Starhawk sounds is what I miss. The info for the sounds is in the manual, but some assembly required along with oh.....about 20 years of EE experience (especially analog components area) as well.

I got sound samples for you all a few years back
I've been meaning to redo those with a direct connection to the speaker wires.
There is a bit of CAX in the existing sound samples.
Next visit to the warehouse.
