Well...20 years earlier, in early 1990s, he and Brodsky string quartet released an extremely good record album (Juliet Letters) and a video of it also aired on PBS back then.
If you ever watched the video special, these two songs were videotaped in sequence in which it made the music video special a memorable one imo.

The next closest string quartet that did a memorable performance for televsion was the string quartet that performed with Joe Jackson for his Heaven and Hell record. The performance was on a PBS tv series episode of Sessions at West 54th (late 1990s).
