i read the whole thing, and i am glad to see that the emulation progress is going quite well. Hopefully when all the graphical issues (i.e. stuck crosshairs and graphics) are fixed along with the framerate, it will end up being playable.
As for this game, the only reason why I (along with others) am aware of it was because of Tony Gonzalez (an ex-employee of Romstar) talking about how the game failed its location test due to how inanely hard it is.

That has got to be painful. From the look of what's emulated so far, there has to be hundreds of man-hours of work. To have a location test go so badly that they just scrap the whole project has to be awful for the team that worked on it. I would probably just quit the biz and get a job driving a truck or something.

The game wasn't completely scrapped, it got a release in Japan.
