The format of this forums is annoying.

Please admin, could you change the format of this forum ? I don't like how the threads are organized (actually they are not organized) I am sure everybody wants a normal format, not this bad format.

There are modes you can change in your "My Home" (top row of links under EMUCHAT logo), click on the on 2nd entry in "Main Configuration" .. Display Preferences, etc. From there you can play with and adjust the output to your liking.

I can't get it, I just tried many configurations and the forum still looks with the hidden messages format. I want to view all the replies at same time, not hidden and needing clicking on them to see what the users are saying.

Ok I just got it! it changed when I replied to this thread, so now I can see all the messages at same time.

You're looking for "Flat" versus "Threaded" modes. For what you want, keep it in "Flat".
You can set your detfaults in your profile to default to Flat, plus there's buttons at the top of each thread to switch between.
Note: some forum humor doesn't work when you're in Flat mode. I prefer Flat mode though

No, me too. And I guess 99% of the other people on the internet too since probably 99% of forums use the flat mode, with this one here being one of the few exceptions.

People only use threaded mode here because it's what they're used to - the mame.net forum had the same layout.

Default display mode: Threaded
Default view: Expanded Threads
for the record, this is my default since ages: no loss of fun (you see posts in right order), no hidden posts...

Please admin, could you keep the format of this forum as is? I like how the threads are organised (or not organised) as desired by the posters. I am sure everybody loves this awesome format, not some other inferior format.

Nah, it's just that flat mode is easier to implement and 99% of web developers are too lazy to implement threaded mode.

Trốn học used to have threaded or flat modes available back in the day, like a decade ago, before the redesign and then apparent termination of the forums. But the default was flat, and it was virtually useless in threaded mode because everyone always replied to the last post in the thread.

I thought that was the default.
you probably want to have this
"Do you want to sort the postlist page by the date of the last reply, or date of the original post?"
set to "sort by last reply date"
