Does history.dat/mameinfo.dat already have all the information that story.dat has? So if I have history.dat/mameinfo.dat, then there's no point in having story.dat as well?
Is story.dat available in the English language?
Does story.dat work in MAMEUI32?
What other MAME derivatives does story.dat work in besides MAME Plus!?
(I'm Using MAMEUI32)

Not sure what stopped you from looking into it yourself when it took me 30 sec to google the answer. If you are talking about the story.dat from arcadehits.net then it's unrelated to either history.dat or mameinfo.dat. It is a database of the MAMESCORE top scores.

Arcadehits is where I read the information about it. That's why I asked those questions, because after reading the info on arcadehits, I had more questions about it that could not be found when I tried Googling my questions.
The information you found was the same as I did and it was not able to answer my following questions:

did you try to open it in a text editor? the datfile is already in english
