Bugs for MAMEtesters
#288951 - 06/08/12 07:29 PM

I found two bugs that I don't think are already mentioned. In the 32 bit version of MAME 146 - In "Doraemon" there is a crash before you get in game, I think "Championship Bowling" may also be the same way. Every time I look it up in MAMEtesters, it shows me that all sets in "Pinkiri 8" driver crash. These are two different drivers, can they be the same bug, or is a mention needed? The other bug is in the Deco Cassette game "Skater" - same version of MAME - Starting in level two when they first appear, every time you pass a water hole or mound of trees in the middle of the screen, your shadow appears on the opposite side of the screen you are on.

Isn't the whole point of mametesters that you submit bugs THERE and not HERE?

The game and driver as mentioned in the description of the bug, not the summary. They all crash in the same manner with little to no rhyme or reason as to why and are still crash at start. When something comes up in search, that means it is mentioned somewhere within that bug report and it's up to you to open and read the descriptions/notes related to see why it's mentioned.

The other bug is

I think this is a general issue related to your position on the screen.. as you approach the edge of the screen, the "shadow" line appears on the opposite side of the screen. Not sure if it is a timing issue or simply misplaced graphics. Should be valid to post, in either case.

Now I see how to read the summary. I was clicking on the wrong thing before. In response to the other post - You have to be a member of MAMEtesters, and have a waiting period in order to post there.

To be fair, you've done enough bugs mentioned here over time to think that your bugs would be mostly valid. There is only a one-time delay in posting after initial sign-up after which you can post whenever you see something you are sure is a bug (regression or long standing based source comparisons). Posting here suspected bugs isn't a bad thing.. you just need to gain confidence. MameTesters loves to have knowledgeable and confident testers.

Thank you for fixing the "Pinkiri 8" bug.
