Viper Phase 1 / Battle Balls fast forward?

Insert gets to ~200%, but still took over 90 seconds to get into the game.
Is there a way to get INSERT > 200%? Key repeat rate is set to 30.

Not really.. it's basically assembling the needed nvram file without which the game either wouldn't work or have corrupted sound. It's a one shot deal, so if you are a regular player of one game you'll only have to do it that one time.
You might be able to "-cheat" and adjust cpu speeds via sliders to let it go faster, but that is a crapshoot as far as it actually working correctly during initialization.

A savestate would work as well but it's not necessary since it only needs to do that once (as Tafoid said).

Do you mean you must pass the init each time you play SeibuSPI games?
Here's the tip
first time you run the game, go to dipswitches menu with TAB menu->select JP1=update
when init is over, go to dipswitches and select JP1=off
et voila

Thanks.
The problem was two fold.. I'd wait the 999, press F3 and get the attached screen shot.
Then Tafoid said something about the NVRAM being built.
I deleted the nvram file and restarted it, and now it works perfect!
Much Appreciated!
