Video Slots Question... BeeZerk
#288052 - 05/28/12 04:18 AM Attachment: front-up.png 3614 KB (1 downloads)

Any feedback would be helpful please:

Anyone ever seen or played it?

Facts - want $75 for it
-found at a local church thrift store
-no keys (np)
-haven't see it plugged in (they say it goes to the first screen but you can't go on)-probably self-test reboot stuff, will definetly check that before purchasing
-these people don't have any clues about it
-touch screen has burn-in but the whole thing is in great shape for being over 10+ yrs old ('99)
Negative-Where the hell am I gonna put this?!?

Thoughts from the group?

Later...
Alomost forgot: - on the back tags
VLC
Powerhouse Industries
Winning Touch Power Series

Pessimist: Oh, this can't get any worse!
Optimist: Yes, it can!

This is the same system (or a derivative) that user yves was looking at emulating in the programming forum, however I don't think the driver has been submitted yet. His test subject was a Red Hot 7's however.

I never personally played Bee-Zerk though, although I did get to play most of the games on this hardware (7's series, Polly's Gold, White Pointers/Great Whites, video poker/keno games etc).

Whoa...

That takes me back! Yes I have seen and played that. As a matter of fact I was a final test tech for VLC when those particular machines were being produced. I actually had a few of the marquees including that one but threw them away a few years ago.

Man that was a sweet job just go get a cab off the line chip it up, run thru the diagnostics, play a few different games, put on the serial # stickers then repeat. Of course if there were any issues I would have to diagnose and repair or replace the bad parts.

There is a fairly good chance I had my grubby hands all over that machine as there were only 5 final test techs at that time.

So whats your question?

Edit: As far as it getting stuck on the first screen. Does the machine just freeze? Can it be coined up? Could be as simple as recalibrating the touch screen depending on the previous questions.
