Which reminds me of the first VCR my parents bought probably around 84 or so,I couldnt have been more the 4 or 5 but I clearly remember the remote having a wire that had to be plugged in to a jack on the back of the VCR! of course it was also a top loader

I changed the channel....until I found 21...and then it got stuck! I always liked watching static, though. I see swirly things. Probably fractal imagery.

Speaking of retro TV's, this is my TV now, found it on CL a couple of months ago. Works perfect except it needs a new needle. I think it's late 60's. Receiver on the left and turntable on the right. My wife dug out her KC and the Sunshine band albums and was dancing around the living room. It had a 25 inch TV in the center. Luckily the TV wasn't the right one so I didn't feel bad pitching it.
