We got the E-3 revision of Vs. Super Mario Bros. The updated program rom (stamped e-3) actually matches one used in the Vs. Skate Kids hack, so that hack was made from this set, but this makes a new official set. We also got a couple of more Vs. chip sets that are labeled differently from anything dumped but I'm unsure yet if they will make new sets or just correct the documentation. I'll update the post later.

I imagine not, but I'll ask anyway-- do we know anything about the E-3 set's differences compared to other revisions?
Congrats on the catch, though. The more of these we save, the better for preserving the history!

It seems clear that it's a newer revision than the "E" set in mame but beyond that is a mix of guesswork. e could be region or some people think it means "easy".
