It's an emulation of a fictional 16-bit processor, running what is effectively a port of Pacman. The developer of Minecraft is making a new space exploration game where this processor will be your ship's computer, which will be capable of pretty much anything you can program it to do. Pretty geeky, even by video game standards, and I'm sure people are going to come up with some pretty wild stuff.

There's already a DCPU-16 MESS driver. Will have to see if it gets submitted now that you can play games on it ;-)

If nach had defined a computer as well as a processor not only would it have fitted his back story better, but we would have something to emulate.
