Looks like Dodonvaria. It'll be interesting to finally give it a go anyway. Great work from Haze once again. Love the write ups that accompany the WIPs too, always an interesting read.

I can't state it any more clearly. I'm not getting into the whole back story.

Really sad at all.
To make it clear, IGS games have 2 versions. And this one, is not the same driver board. The other one have secured areas. It's a relieve for us, having half of this games. Soon will have all games emulated.
Thanks to the Brazilian produces!
Not inclued: Demon Front, The Gladiator – Road of the Sword / Shen Jian, Oriental Legend Special/Super Plus, The Killing Blade Plus/EX, Happy 6-in-1, S.V.G. – Spectral vs Generation.

I expected ripping off previous Cave games, but they must have ripped other stuff too. I instantly recognized the menu selection sound (around 1:40), which was originally the menu selection sound from Super Tetris 3 for Super Famicom.

allowing mention of his blog != allowing a new account from him

Not scared, just annoyed. And he has done it on and off here for the past decade including recently. He's a stain and I'm not interested in his shit. There's no leet programmer induced invincibility to rules here. Everyone is just human and if you act like a dick you're gone. He excels at being a dick. 10 years, no change. I can't believe you guys put up with it. I guess he feeds Belmont's addiction of deleting things.

you mean emulation of Cave's CV-1000 hardware ? it was removed by request from MAME and Demul, they are still use it for new games, and emulation can harm them, google for "Dodonpachi Saidai-Oujou" - it will be on cv1000d platform.

nono =p He meant IGS ripped(stole) sound effects from other games and used them in ddp2.

Sounds in games since the early 90s often come from CD-based stock sound libraries. You're supposed to process them to make them your own, but lazy/in a hurry audio designers often just throw them in games as-is. So it's pretty easy for games to unintentionally have the same sounds as other games.

I consider it a sort of experiment in making The Banned Brothers appear to be at least somewhat reasonable to people not paying much attention (including, apparently, B2K24). And Bannister finds it to be infinitely amusing.

Interesting, I wasn't aware that happened with 16 bit consoles. At any rate, somebody on the shmups forum spotted a ripped MOD file, used for boss music around 4 minutes in the video.

The system it's on makes little difference if the developer is lazy and steals or uses stock stuff.
