He is taking a temporarily permanent leave of absence.

Smitt is the main one in charge of the forums now (as you can tell by the pics at the top of a lot of the forums).

Italie and I are assisting him in keeping an eye out for things here.

I'll be updating the samples after we get to 0.146.

I bet he is hoping when he get back the forum isn't on fire or anything.

I'm glad that he is doing just fine.

I can't beat Operation Thunderbolt with INFINITE CREDITS!

So I'm not exactly "military."

I didn't vote for Barack Hussein Obama, I voted for McLiberal.

I don't even know if I'll vote this next election, I feel like I'm voting for dumb or dumberer, and that there is nobody to vote for!

I'm just glad the US doesn't have British "Royalty" ruling over us anymore even if the alternative isn't much more pleasant!

I guess just like I've called Hillary Rotham Clinton her name.

As far as I'm concerned he's a politician like every other one, he just snookered the public into thinking he's "not" a politician.

No I don't think he's a Muslim or terrorist.

He did help kill Bin Lauden. I'll admit that.

> I guess just like I've called Hillary Rotham Clinton her name.

It's "Rodham", and that isn't even close to the same thing. She actively uses the name, and it's a surname/maiden name. Obama doesn't actively use the name in public, and it's his middle name.

> As far as I'm concerned he's a politician like every other one, he just snookered the

That doesn't help answer my question, and is wholly irrelevant.

I didn't say you did.

Seriously, be honest here. Is it because Fox News does it? I'm honestly trying to take you seriously here, but it boggles my mind to no end when people use his full name and can't give a justifiable - or even reasonable - explanation for it. Don't think of this as an attack either, because I'm not. I'm really trying to understand the purpose. If it's just a case of "Follow the leader", great. I can process and accept how that happens. It's retarded, but at least it's quantifiable.

It's almost as confusing as the bumper stickers people have now that say "Worst president ever" and have Obama's colored "O" on them.

// Proudly displaying shit like that immediately tells me you don't know shit about history. It's one thing to dislike, but to pass dislike as fact is silly.

Actually, it's sounds really impressive if you imagine greytbeard doing a Michael Buffer-esque intro
every time he says it.

A Ray Clay Bulls intro works too.

And now, the executive branch for your United States of America!
At Secretary of State, from Arkansas, Hillary Rodman!
....
From Kenya, The President, 6'1", Barack Hussein Obama!

It's all really inspiring with Sirius in the background. Thanks, gtb, I wanna go vote right now!

We all know that was the surname of the former Iraqi president, Saddam. Saddam Hussein. An enemy (and at one time an ally) of the U.S. of A. So for someone to use the middle name of Barry Soetoro's alias is to also equate him as an enemy to America. Or it's to suggest that he's a (closet) Muslim.

Neither accusation should be worth worrying about, and are both rather silly. It's the ones that control him, they are the ones we should worry about.

I don't know/care why Techrat does it but the reason most people do it is to imply that he's "not a true blood American" if you were really wondering. Like when people use M$ to imply without saying it that Microsoft is about 1 thing with no other considerations.

He's an American, a left wing socialist American, not that the alternatives are any better at the moment.

I see him as an elitist who thinks he's better than the average citizen, a guy who has not much in common with the average citizen, he doesn't understand the country he leads, he doesn't understand foreign affairs, the economy, or ordinary folk.

I fail to see how people can say he isn't a politician, he sold the American people on a fake vision of change. I doubt those that like him can understand why I don't like him.

I haven't watch FOX news for a while. I like Bill O'Reilly but I cringe every time he tries to say he's a simple man or has anything in common with average Americans. Sorry Mr. Millionaire with multiple Masters Degrees from Ivy League Universities, but I fail to see how you could have anything to do with average folk, I don't even see myself having much in common with average folk. No I don't see myself as better or superior than the average citizen.

I think little of politicians, but I think even less of them when they pretend they care about the average citizen. I see Obama as just as bad as Bill O'Reilly in pretending he's something he isn't. To me doing so and getting away with it pisses me off as much as it pisses off Atheists who get angry at "Self righteous Christians" who pretend to be pious when they are just as bad as the people they judge.

I was asked why I feel the way I do about Obama and answered it honestly. I don't care for the Tea Party, am a moderate Republican with some moderate and liberal beliefs. I don't think any newsgroup is unbiased, including Fox news. I don't care for the Republicans running for president. I think Obama is an American. I do doubt he's a Christian but I don't think he's a Muslim. I think he's agnostic but pretends to be a Christian just like I think many Republicans pretend to be Christian.

I could really use your opinion. I know this guy who says he's a Christian. However, he violates
God's law by co-habitating with a woman and not marrying her in order to exploit a loophole
in man's law, which keeps him eligible for more disability and/or insurance benefits because he's
single. Since he knowingly and willfully violates God's law for his own benefit, should we even
consider him a Christian?

Thanks for the dissertation on why you don't like him...but again...that isn't the question I asked. The question I asked was "Why do you use his middle name when referencing him?"

How did my thread about Twisty get high jacked into another political debate?

I'll answer the question for him since he won't. He is trying to associate Obama with Saddam. If Obama's middle name was Hitler, it would also be used whether or not Obama did. If Obama's middle name was Jesus, nobody would use it.

If he isn't having sex with her then I fail to see the problem.

Cohabitation isn't sinful, sex outside of marriage is sinful. BTW, you don't have to cohabit to have sex.

BTW, Christians sin, but Obama seems to want to put being a politician as a priority to his relationship with God. He doesn't seem to want Christian ideals to interfere with his duties as Commander in Chief.

Maybe you can't be a politician AND a Christian, BTW I think the same of Nancy Pelosi, who's supposedly Catholic and others.

I'm also not sure of Republican politicians.

Seriously, my motives are entirely out of curiosity. I'm not after a political bitch fest. I don't care whether you like him or not (Although at this point "I don't like him" would be the most valid answer you've given.) I just need to rationalize why many people use his middle name, yet NONE admit to it being a slam, deride, or otherwise negative commentary...even though that is always the tone of the use.

If people are too chicken shit to admit when they are slamming someone, then this world needs a lot more than a new president.

I think the fact I don't like him implies I'm slamming him.

I certainly don't go by my full name, and IMSHO that's a sign of elitism.

I think he's elitist, I refer to him that way.

Just like Sean Hannity calls him the anointed one, not because he thinks Obama is Christlike, but he thinks Obama sees himself that way (most politicians worship themselves.)

Umm... he can't because it would be unconstitutional and grounds for impeachment.

I cringe every time I see someone say this. Obama is not "left wing" or "socialist" by any sane definition of either of those words. All sides of US politics are so far to the right by global standards that it isn't funny. Slightly to the left of as far to the right as you can get is still a very long way to the right. There is no such thing as a left-wing alternative in US politics.

Hah. The government hasn't let the Constitution stand in their way very often in the past, oh what, 50, 75, years? not 100 yet, they still had some respect for it back in ~1912.

I wish they'd go with what the thing actually says, though. You know, "Congress shall make no law respecting... or prohibiting...." Nothing about schools, or the President, or courts, or public displays. Again though, why would they let what the Constitution says matter?

We've been through this shit. I can't say I agree with it, but nothing he did was directly illegal or impeachment worthy. Tell your Senators not to ratify treaties that open loopholes and grey areas.
