CHDMAN Error

Hi I was trying to take a look at ridge racer v arcade battle to see if its any different then its ps2 counter part (soul calibur is) but I can't seem to open its CHD file I tried with the old version and it said is was an unsupported CHD and the new version gives me this

anyone know whats up? I feel i messed up but I am not sure how. if anyone knows help would be great.

1: Of course the game will be different. Modes sand features will be missing in the arcade counterpart and the files will be different to work with the System 246/256 hardware. You can't play it on a regular PS2 despite the hardware similarities, the software isnt the same.
Secondly, you're extracting a DVD, which isn't a CD, you need to extract it like a HD for it to work.

oh ok thanks the original ps2 version is on of the very cd ps2 games which must have been what gotten me off track. I haven't done HD extraction before do you know where I can find the correct instructions? and thanks I was stuck for a while

Open the file in WinImage or something similar
