FLAC - triplhnt, journey - 21.7 MB
Total Savings - 10.3 MB
WAV - twotiger - 147.0 MB
FLAC - twotiger - 66.2 MB
Total Savings - 80.8 MB
TOTAL TOTAL Savings - 105.3 MB
76.7% from one file; 9.8% from two files; 13.5% from 61 files

Did you 7-Zip them afterwards?
I obviously used the wrong FLAC setting or something. Mine got bigger when converted.

Compressed with 7-zip; tried both .zip format and .7z (using LZMA2). Difference was neglibile, so stuck with .zip.
Converted to FLAC with the below commandline
C:\flac --verify --best filename.wav
|

I tried again with the samples that I have (I don't have all)...
I converted to flac the 7z.
Before...
71.5 MB (75,017,151 bytes)
After...
49.6 MB (52,099,476 bytes)
Pretty impressive. I think my version of FLAC is a little older and I should have grabbed the latest. Oh well.

Well, I'm gonna sit tight on them for now until we get to a final version, as I feel other changes coming, but at least it's ready for now. =D

I'm waiting for it too, I wonder how much 160GB worth of "pcecd" MESS CHDs will improve.
