my mame cabinet has a monitor Wei-ya 820h 19" and when it is in front-end, 800x600, it hears an acute noise, and when I load a game (eg. Moon Patrol, Final Fight, Double Dragon), the noise disappears. Does anybody know what it can be?
my cab:
ArcadeVGA monitor Wei-ya 820h 19" w/ isolation transformer crt Philips

Some monitors don't like certain resolutions, try different ones. A cap kit may help if this is a recent change.
Wei-ya aren't exactly the caddilac of chassis either, by they are decent enough.

+1 - I would run my front end at 480x320 or something low that won't end up being interlaced. Just because the ArcadeVGA can force 800x600 doesn't mean it's a good idea. Also, ensure the metal frame is properly earthed (grounded) with a green wire. Check that this wire is connected and is tied into your A/C plug correctly.

it is not speakers, I turned off them.

the same happens...
I had me forgetful, the noise happens after a periodo, , be in front-end, be in any game, except Moon Patrol! very weird...

as italie mentioned, components themselves which are known to make noise are capacitors (if they are leaking) .. the suction cup on the back of the monitor glass (if loose/dirty/leaking), or the flyback transformer (if getting old/worn out)
perhaps if possible, run the monitor and try to locate where (or what general area) of the monitor the noise is coming from (and look at the capacitors to see if any of them have leaked, or bulged/swelled)...
note: if the noise happens after a 'periodo', most likely one of the parts is bad when it becomes hot...
finally, perhaps ask your question at the forum below, which contains lots of friendly experts: http://www.ukvac.com/forum/forum_topics.asp?FID=2&title=tech-maintenance-repairs

And: what kind of noise is it? Maybe you could take a video with your phone?

Consider it high comedy....sincere tragedy....whatever...don't take it personally.
