Is there a DAT with MAME Roms minus Clones & Mechanicals ?
Or is it possible to create one DAT (with CMP for example) with these settings ?
I want to create a fullset for friends minus these useless (for them) roms.

AFAIK you can untick mechanicals when scanning/rebuilding with clrmame.
But you don't want to get rid of all the clones - sometimes only the clone set works.
I can't think of any game right now where this is the case (Slap Fight/Alcon used to be one) but it's usually when there's some kind of protection on the parent set that hasn't been figured out yet. Sometimes there's a bootleg version of the game that works because it has the protection removed and this will be among the clone sets.
Additionally, sometimes there's a clone set that has interesting gameplay changes or even a different set of controle - like Cabal with a trackball instead of joystick.

Or just use GameEX Front End which automatically filters those games out.
