Have you updated the nVidia drivers again, yet?

Using 295.73 now myself. My only issue so far has been that there's nothing that says "changing this will make your trolls transparent."

Me too.

Don't bother with that, the trolls around here are transparent enough.

I can't knock either VLC or MPC-HC. They can play anything. Sometimes I use the latter as a music player when I'm too lazy to load MediaMonkey.
When people ask for DVD-player software I hook them up with either VLC or MPC-HC. I figure that you have the computer, the drive, and the software is available for free. Beats having to either spend more $$$ or catch a nasty piece of malware.
If I can figure out how to convert some .mkv files to xvid+lame .avi with subs intact for my portable DVD player that has a flash card reader I'll be all set. I am savvy with TMPEGENC but need to figure out the order of the FFDSHOW filters for rendering. :-)

I still get the garbled underwater effect briefly. Not a big deal. ATI Radeon 48xx series here w/Catalyst 11.9.

Yeah it saw that too on some .mp4 files, not sure what format, h264 I think.
I had to watch all of Vanishing Point in Windows Media Player, no problems there.
