I’m convinced Mario is a hobo.
He wakes up everyday in the same clothes, runs around in sewers, and collects coins for a living.
At the end of the day, he uses the coins to buy mushrooms

Yes, and Al Kossow has been looking at the disks. I don't know if he has found Ms. Gorf, though. This is the last I've heard from him:

But at that time, She (yes, it's Ms. , now) said she was still thinking about it, wasn't sure whether they were still viable. Apparently they are, so good.

And, jee-sus, people are still using Yahoo message boards? I hate Yahoo. Didn't ever like it.

Consider it high comedy....sincere tragedy....whatever...don't take it personally.

Well, the Astrocade group's been going continuously since 2001. I like the groups and e-mail. I've switched to Google for search, though.

She works in the cube next to mine at work if you want me to ask.

Really? Small world. As I said, Al Kossow borrowed her disks a few months ago, and was starting to get data off of them, but I would be curious to hear about any progress since then.

Yeah, really. I had no idea that Jamie had written Gorf until I happened upon some history of Gorf on a website and made the connection. I actually interviewed Jamie for the job a bit over a year ago and she never mentioned it. I would think that if I had made Gorf I would be trying to cash in on that at every opportunity but she is considerably more humble about it than I would be.

When I found out about her authorship of Gorf I asked her and we talked about it a bit. I wanted to know what it was like to write video games back in the golden days. It was interesting to hear about it from the source. She did mention Ms. Gorf and having loads of old stuff in boxes that she intended to eventually get around to doing something with.

I'll ask her on Monday if she has any idea what the status is.

BTW our jobs, unfortunately, have nothing to do with gaming whatsoever (although it's still software development).
