bug in MAME 0.144u5 single-precision ops

affects almost everything: load, multiply, compare...
caused by improper type conversion from integer to float, but the value being converted is a single.
Causes the hardware register failure in Funky Ball.
Bugfix has been submitted to bypass the type conversion.
