It really isn't a "sprite" or graphics ripped from a game. It's artwork. But obviously that's what you meant.

I'm sorry, I can't say I know the answer to that.

Who is the person who created the website/artwork on the website. Whoever it is, will beable to tell us what it is.

I messaged them and they said a direct answer would spoil all the fun. The only clue they gave was it's one of the games that boots and plays in MAME.

"Snow Bros", I would have posted last night, but I thought it would be answered by the time I took to make sure, and to log in.

I know in Ghouls N' Ghosts there is a weapon that spins or travels along the ground if you press down and fire. But I'm not sure about (in) Ghosts N' Goblins.

So now we know what the answer is.

But who is the person who created the website/artwork? Is it one of the devs?

MAMEWorld is owned by RocLobsta and KillerClown, since it's inception.

It is the biggest MAME-based fansite around, and though many MAME-based "official" sites are hosted here, it is not actually affiliated with MAME.

Roc did the logo.

RELAX and just have fun. Remember, it's all about the games.

Of the website, yes.

I could swear, though, that Roc did the logo. (But I've been wrong before).

I'm sure one of them will chime in.

Hah. Just in the nick of time to give the thread some suspense. *kidding*
Thanks for the answer.

I hope things are going okay over there.

Not the same on Loonybin without the long ago arguments in favorite console wars when old Loonybin era meant bashing each other over the head back then and lots of other crazy fights back then on the forum. I can still envision Fazeo once again posting an extreme supersized Super Bowl trophy photo image on Loonybin forum being celebrated with his hometown NFL NE Patriots winning once again (2018 beating LA Rams) and then Smit would reply to Fazeo with "Photo is too damn big" and then Fazeo would be typing a rage response to Smit's post. :-)

One of the more entertaining moments back then imo.

It's a bummer with KC nor Pi around these days to witness their fellow citizens (Spain) have added some really hard-to-find games in 2018 and they are now supported in MAME.

just for some minor MAME trivia of how long time that thread has gone by...

When that thread appeared on 01/09/12, non-cpu emulation in MAME finally became a reality a few months later in 2012. Still a long ways to go, but it is possible to play Pong, Pong Doubles, and Breakout these days.

The long ago photos of the UK MAME meet still amuse me especially you and Orc in one of the more memorable ones. heh :-)

btw: iirc Orc dropped by around early 2016 and posted back then about same time I had posted these actual pieces I got from a parts sale of a couple of Nintendo cabs.

I sent a message to Orc at the time. No film reels yet, but will keep searching when possible.
