Empire City 1931

I have a US version Empire City 1931 PCB that I am wanting to region change to the Japanese version but looking at the dumps in MAME, it seems the parent is a bootleg and the US/JP versions are somewhat different but the documentation isn't as thorough as other dumps.

Can anyone please offer some advice?

I see that parent set description hasn't been changed since about 1999 or early 2000.

0.36b16: Added clone 'Empire City: 1931' (Japan). Changed parent description to 'Empire City: 1931 (bootleg?)'.

This is pretty good that you have a pcb for comparing or helping get the driver file hopefully updated in better shape than what it is at this time. There appears to be lots more work needed when going by comments in the stfight.c file

- palette is incorporated - fix!!!
- handle transparency in text layer properly (how?)
- second bank of sf02 is this used? (probably NOT)

Bugs:

During attract mode and occasionally during game play, graphical sprites and fragments 'lag' in the lower left corner of the screen. Nightvoice (ID 04427)
