Since I recently got a place in an Apprenticeship, I've decided to spare some money to try upgrade my machine, but I want to get some general hints.
Emulation aside, I'd like to use my PC as a TV, and I know there's AVI capture cards which are good for this, but I want to know which has the smallest lag and least requirements. I have an Osprey 100 at the moment which has little lag (doesn't affect gameplay much at all) with 2 composite and an S-Video in. Only problem is on Direct mode the screen shows lots of artifacts, but on post-processed, my PC isn't as power hungry and sometimes slows a little or pauses.
Mainly I'd be using consoles with it, and not too bothered with external switches. Or if I have a good card, what would a better config?
