What a dumb as$

I meant to put saline drops in my dry eyes...
Then Gatinha said "What the hell did you put the baby's albuterol in your eyes for?"
WTF!
The droppers are identical.
Poison control said the half life is 6 hours... I'll probably be fine... but any pain in the eye would be acute glaucoma... which would be a medical emergency needing immediate surgery to save my vision.
So now we're just watching the clock... and hoping no eye pain starts.
But now I'm all paranoid, like... is that a pain starting? Is this a pain?

Yeah, flush for 15 minutes, and go to the ER if any discomfort develops. Define discomfort when you're all wound up with anxiety. Every itch and twitch and I'm like "This is it, lets go... no wait, no... I'm good... I think... it doesn't hurt... I don't think."
I didn't want to fall asleep out of paranoia I'd sleep through any discomfort... so I stayed up watching TV. Now I'm tired. Dumb dumb dumb.

Wouldn't flushing your eyes for 15 minutes cause discomfort?

Haha. Yeah, beat me to it. Was going to post that. Albuterol is generally given in the form of albuterol sulfate in an inhaler. It's used for acute breathing issues. It's a mild steroid that opens up the lungs and allows for greater absorption of oxygen. In your eyes, the glaucoma worry is from the vessels in your eyes opening up too much as too much fluid coming in.
Now that there is anxiety working in there, of course any little thing will make you think you are having a bad side effect. But a true side-effect would be some pressure feeling in the eye coupled with blurry vision coupled with an odd feeling in the eye.
From one application of the albuterol in place of saline, I highly doubt anything can happen. Poison Control center was just doing their job and telling you about the worst case scenario so that you'd be prepared IF it happened.

No, since he put albuterol in his eyes and it is meant for opening up the lungs, he is just going to see tits better.
