YAY!!!!......can update from 142.u5 at last.

Hmm - don't know if this is the right place to post (but I don't know better...)

This release added: Simpsons Beer Guide, The [Maygay) 199?

should be

Simpsons - Duff Beer Guide [Maygaz?] 1999

...already had working sound. It's Model 2 (2 prime?), not 2A/B/C.

thank you.
holly crap! this new "device_ref" complicated things a little for frontend writers when it comes to audit sets

I see the improvement in MAME, as you won't have to keep updating those "special" ROMs on every game set out there, just the new device sets (like it currently works for bios sets) ...

If you have to ask, I'd say MAMEUI is more intuitive and user friendly for you.

Nope, no difference that I know of other than one being straight command line, and one having a more intuitive GUI.

MAME already have a basic game selection screen. it's good enough, but there is no snaps preview.

If you're good at the command line (there is no MS DOS in XP/Vista/7, it's a fully 32 or 64-bit shell) then all the advantages of it come into play for MAME: you have command history, you can create batch files to run games with specific settings, and so on. I find it generally a bit easier on my wrists than navigating any of the GUI frontends.

Hello,

Jitter is fixed indeed but diagonal 'crease' reported fixed in 142u6 is still visible in 143u3. Do you see the same diagonal 45 degree black line on top of all the games as well?

Does anybody know how to fix the diagonal crease line reported fixed in 142u6?; that is shown only when HLSL is ON.

Thank you,
jufis.
