question about WilliamsTurkey Shoot
#261609 - 08/06/11 02:21 PM

is there a way to imitate the feathers blowing between the crt and the glass after each stage? i've never seen this myself since there is no video that ive seen so far.

I’m convinced Mario is a hobo.
He wakes up everyday in the same clothes, runs around in sewers, and collects coins for a living.
At the end of the day, he uses the coins to buy mushrooms

I've never seen it before either. Pretty cool. I wish there was a youtube video of the game shoeing this.

Yes and no. This is my best guess so..

I got to play this when it first came out and it is the only 1 I have seen with the real feathers. All the others might have been conversions or bootlegs and did not have any feathers. No emulated feathers floating around on screen. Other than the signal that starts the fans blowing feathers it's not really part of the proper emulation of the game and I don't know if that signal is even coded into MAME or not. Unless you want to hook it up to a USB port for fan power and (my best idea) force feed back signals to start/stop the fans. Of course you would also have to build a pexi container to fit your screen and hold the feathers. Cool but a lot of work for 1 game. Not sure how Some would feel about adding in a feather effect for it. I would probably say no as it wouldn't be emulating anything in the game(except the signal). And yes if it would be considered artwork. I imagine the same arguement can be used for the pinball & gambling machines as well. That's my thoughts. Did that help? LOL

'Nuff said...

Later...

Pessimist: Oh, this can't get any worse!
Optimist: Yes, it can!
