out of memory??

while trying to open a new rom i had just gotten i got a message saying out of memory.
it had done the load screen and the initializing screen then the screen where you type ok or go left right on your keyboard and AFTER that i got the message how do i fix this?
and it was while playing mslug5
EDIT: i did an audit of the game files and only the j-japan file was missing (this is normal for mslug 1 and 2 and they work)

figured out the problem im running mameui32 version 0.142
this version had a massive memory leak so all i had to do was upgrade to version 143 and all my roms are still working and my bios files
THIS IS THE SOLLUTION
i know i spent at least an hour or so trying to solve this.
hope this helps other people who have the same issue
JUST UPGRADE TO VERSION 143

The easiest way is to select the text you want to become a link and click on the "Insert Hypertext" icon (the one that looks like a globe) in the editor and type the address in the box that pops up.
