I'm sure I'm missing something simple, but is there a way to get Super Mario Brothers Players Choice game to start right up without having to hit "enter" at the beginning? A lot of different people use the arcade machine and it's a pain.

Ok... I'll bite. What is "Super Mario Brothers Players Choice" game? Huh... what? You really should head back to the Loony Bin.

Pardon me for not being exact enough for you..."Super Mario Bros. (PlayChoice-10)" I wish I were as perfect as you!

Oh come on.. you've been around this forum long enough. Apologies for making you feel misunderstood. Honestly, though, it does help when you are accurate in your description(s) of the game. The only way you can skip (assuming you are using emulation) is to run the set "suprmrio" (Vs. Super Mario Bros). You have no timer you need to deal with and simply credit/start like a normal arcade.

Go through the normal setup of starting up the PC10 game; when you get to the main screen , create a savestate.
From there, set the game to always load that savestate.

RELAX and just have fun. Remember, it's all about the games.

I’m convinced Mario is a hobo.
He wakes up everyday in the same clothes, runs around in sewers, and collects coins for a living.
At the end of the day, he uses the coins to buy mushrooms

You really can't auto-start a cart on the PC-10 because it was meant to give 10 different choices and the timer didn't start until you picked one.
If you're looking for a MAME SMB to run off a cab, VS Super Mario Bros is a far better choice.
If it doesn't matter that it's not MAME, set up your cab with Nestopia and the original home SMB release.

That's the way PC10 is. Your two choices are either to run Vs. Super Mario Bros instead or run MESS with the home NES version.
