I actually heard about the issue at the plant on the news earlier this week, so if there was a blackout, people aren't following it. The plant itself had been shut down since April for refueling anyway.

Refueling is probably the REAL news. The rest is all propaganda, miscommunication, lies, etc.

According to disclosure releases they were already at a low level alert due to nearby flooding, but no plant operations had been affected. I guess the "real" story is they had a small electrical fire in the coolant pump electrical room for the spent rod storage pool. They had a brief power outage to the coolant pumps, but the system was back online before backup power was even necessary.
I guess the temperature of the spent rod pool rose by 3 degrees C, nothing much for anyone to get all herpa-derpa about.

The whole article reads like a piece of sensationalist propaganda. Whatever it is it isn't anything approaching fact based journalism.
