Did ya know a black light only costs $35?
#257728 - 06/18/11 03:19 AM Attachment: oooOOOooo.jpg 156 KB (8 downloads)

But a good camera to take the picture cost a hell of a lot more?

Blacklight arrived today. Camera I've had for awhile.

Still not happy yet, but here's a sample:

Looks good even though it is a wip... and maybe this photo it looks too blueish imo.

o/t

I am disappointed about what happened to my Boot Hill parts/pieces purchase since that would have also included the left/right side interior pieces used with Boot Hill.

*thanks USPS for destroying my purchase back in 2006. Thank you....way to go. Good job*

I think it's stunningly beautiful!

Do you have access to the extra side pieces? trees, right?

Looking forward to seeing Video Pinball, Tornado Baseball/Double Play(?) and Warlords(redone) with this treatment!

Don't have the side pieces (see greg's rant). Do have the bezel' which is scanned but needs to be stitched, then cleaned (or vectored, if you're up for it ).

Baseball backdrop is also good for Extra Innings.

Warlords was actually already re-done, albeit with a cheaper blacklight. Still think it came out okay. Don't have the backdrop anymore anyway (machine was sold).

RELAX and just have fun. Remember, it's all about the games.

I bought a 4' fixture, ceiling mounted and stuck in 2 blacklights.

Its pretty rough on your eyeballs after a short time.

First pictures with VP upright had shadow.
I took a few more pictures with VP horizontal.
Much better but not ideal for the camera tripod.

If I get a chance to borrow a Nikon SLR I'll give it another go with the light fixture vertical.

Looking forward to this. Your first shot, while flawed, was still great. Are you going to take the photo at an angle to get the shadows/depth right, then digitally compensate for the keystoning?

Here's a reference photo showing the game from the player's perspective. This is the best photo I've seen that shows the depth of the artwork. IT shows how much of the depth is visible to the player.

I've got reference engraved in my brain now, as much as I played it this weekend. (And yes, pics, too).

Were you tempted to buy the artwork from that vendor table?

When I put the cab back together, I take a few pictures of the art without the bezel installed. That should help some too.

I almost asked him how much it was.

Then I remember you had access to it still, plus now someone else does, too
