It was dumped, uploaded and announced 29th January 2011
I couldn't remember the game name so the name of the zip is CrystalSystemSomething.zip

Actually there's probably many dumps that have not been added to MAME, possibly because no one cares for these strange exotic type games.

I rarely receive any donations now so nothing is bought in Japan and my Japanese contact is all but retired. It's up to all you Guru-maniacs out there to donate. Instead of mega-piles of crappy clones and other rubbish from you-know-who you can have nice never-before-seen Japanese stuff. Remember though, we're at the business end of dumping. Everything cheap is already dumped and the stuff that is not in MAME is expensive because the people who have it know that and increase the prices. You know where to reach me if you win the lottery......

Yeah instead of rubbish like NFL Classic Football and Reality Tennis that are scarce as all hell you could get common stuff like Thrill Drive 3 and Tekken 6 that will never run in MAME.

The next time I donate, it's going to be for something like decapping where emulation of existing drivers gets improved. 3D arcade games are basically worthless crap anyway. 99.9% of the good arcade games are already dumped; they're just not all emulated well yet.

I don't have much interest in donating money so that you get some 2005-era arcade games to play in your spare time.

The driver crystal.c is already there,(Crystal of the Kings is quite nice game for example) and I don't understand why this game is so exotic ?

Always great to here from the Guru

Just curious, is there any benefit in decapping the sega model 1 chip, in terms of learning anything new? Or is that an unknown thing?

Always been curious about that one.

that's good because I don't want 2005-era games anyway. Those listed on my page were free (they came in for repair). There's no way I could justify spending several thousand dollars on that stuff anyway.... yes it's THAT expensive.

It's probably the same manufacturer as the crappy X Se Dae Quiz (that runs on a rom swapped ZT board as well), so I won't hold my breath for it.

Nice to see that there's a Physical M-Slug 6 dumped. Even if it's common as Muck, the Slug series is a great little shooter.

I don't mind sending you donations. The last donation I made was sent to get Arctic Thunder (one of Midway's last arcade games) which wasn't in MAME yet until now. Are you willing to find those missing Naomi Bios (Korean, Australian, and unknown region)? The last time I looked at your Naomi page you still have them hightlighted in Red meaning undumped and needed. I'd be happy to send you donations in finding and retrieving these missing Naomi bios. Your Naomi still needs to be updated since Initial D Arcade Stage Version 2 (Export) has been dumped by the DU and now in MAME and DIMM Firmware Update (Triforce) is dumped and in MAME.

Also, did you dumped Wyvern F-0? You dumped Bygone and I did not see Wyvern F-0 in MAME yet.

I can't find things that don't exist or are not available or not easily available. But I'm not really interested in that stuff as it's just clones (you need to talk to the Clone King about those).
I'm more interested in unique or different games. I'm sure most people feel that way too (if you want clones donate to the Clone King).
It's also a bonus if it can be plugged into MAME without too much trouble like the recently purchased Techno Drive on Namco System 12. Please read my FAQ.

NFL Classic Football and Reality Tennis seem pretty unique to me. not that I care at all about who buys clones and who buys originals, as long as old pcbs get bought and preserved

Reality Tennis is in MAME. NFL I'll probably dump today but you won't crack the encryption for another 2-3 years so I'm not sure what the rush is.

The encryption got taken care of like 18 months ago, it's just a lineswap. That's why the games all boot to color bars now.

That's not what OG told me. He said there is another layer that has to be defeated before it's even worth hooking up the roms correctly. Also Chocovader doesn't do anything. Either way I've already dumped plenty of things to work with. NFL should be later today as well.

It kinda looked like the bootloader decompressed the rest in software if you got the PIO and DMA registers right, but ok.

But I didn't look into it very long since the only really interesting game on the h/w is Chocovader.

If they don't exist then why did you list them on your page anyways which makes no sense to me.

Why are you assuming that I donate towards cloned games? I don't donate towards cloned games or games already secured. The last donation I made was a unique and different game which was never in mame was completetly undumped and unemulated. I'm sure you never heard of it. I would never donate something towards already secured games unless it needs decapping to improve the existing drivers or emulation.

> It's also a bonus if it can be plugged into MAME without too much trouble like the
> recently purchased Techno Drive on Namco System 12. Please read my FAQ.
I've already read your FAQ lots of times since I've been visiting your page lots of times. I'm definitely not the right person to talk about certain games in MAME whether or not it can work or added. I have no programming skills or technical knowledge about that game you just mentioned. You need to talk to the MAMEDevs or whoever is in charge of MAME about this.

> > Also, did you dumped Wyvern F-0? You dumped Bygone and I did not see Wyvern F-0 in

Oh. If want to keep it longer that's up to you. But you need to realize I only donate funds towards who are willing to dump the games not hoarding them. You'll need to use your own money for that if you there's a game you own and want and keeping it longer and not dumping them for MAME otherwise you wasted my time and money. So Sorry.

>You know where to reach me if you win the lottery......

No, that's not possible for me. This will never happen. I don't buy lottery tickets as I have no chance or any luck of winning. Even if I did, I will not send any of it to you. I have already made a decision not to send you any money or anything from me. You sent me a very nasty PM which lead me make this decision. That's your fault. So I want nothing to do with you at all.

I've played Gamshara. It's a pretty cool Cabal type game. Perhaps not your cup of tea but it's one of the more interesting unported games on the hardware imo.

Re: Ungrateful spray from little squirt. new [Re: gamerfan]

Dear Gamerfan,

Mame Devs contribute their valuable time and expertise and often their own money to further the MAME project. They do this both for their own reasons - INTRINSIC VALUES; and for the benefit of the project or for and the enjoyment of others and the MAME Team as a whole - EXTRINSIC VALUES.

I see you trolling away from under your insignificant little bridge with your feeble little arguments about why these people - people who already give away much of their valuable time and expertise as a donation to the project as a whole, are either purposefully trying to undermine you and your enjoyment by withholding new releases - or should do more for you as you have the loudest voice. You being the hungry, ungrateful troll child under the bridge.

Others who already do so much for the project may have their own reasons, or reasons that you do not understand not to do something at this immediate point in time.

To quantify, something that you Gamerfan the troll are demanding right now is Wyvern FO to be uploaded and playable right now. I seem to remember something about Wyvern F0 having unknown hardware and as being unmameable from a previous discussion.

Anyway, if I put $6000 of my own money towards buying a rare and undumped game I might well wish for some other rookie MAME fan to contribute to the purchase price.

I see you have squirmed out of the donation option in your second letter. Your excuse being your seemingly poor current and future employment prospects, prospects which are probably related to your poor attitude towards others working within a group.

Before you aim your pointy stick in my direction I feel that I have a right to speak on this topic as I have spent between $10,000 to $25,000 on buying PCB's, artwork, control panels and other assorted stuff to contribute to the project. (I don't keep a tally and don't wish to.) Example - The Japanese version of Space Intruder cost me $1,000 Australian to buy.

I myself have some rare artwork that I am holding onto ATM. As it is large and I don't have the equipment to scan it / photograph it and put it into MAME it is not in MAME yet.

I am not hoarding it. I intend to put it into MAME - but the lack of access to the money to have it done professionally, or access to expensive technology such as a high resolution camera prohibits me from doing so ATM.

I have just seen another needed PCB for $150 and some artwork that is $50 + shipping to Australia. Better save my bucks, not living on a lot at the moment being a full time uni student and all that.

Then I suppose there is no real rush - I'll buy them when I can afford it.

Cheers,

Tingoes.

the line swap was discovered more than four years ago, it predates svn & I found it way before I submitted it as well.

actually it's just a standard 1980-ish TAITO PCB with ROMs and a 68705.
Nothing too special there, except the $5500 price tag

The Smitdogg vs Guru (and vice versa) thing is getting out of hand, both of you deserve to be kissed by a 90 year old lady with a bad case of halitosis, then turn into a prince and marry her (yes, two husbands for her - it's time you learn to live together under one roof in this small emu scene).

Wyvern F0? Financial drama aside, I'm glad it's in good hands.

Dear Tingoes,

>They do this both for their own reasons -
>INTRINSIC VALUES; and for the benefit of the project or for and the enjoyment of others and the MAME Team as a whole - EXTRINSIC VALUES.

You do have some points I do agree. I knew this longtime ago when I first discovered mame. Yes, It's very true that MAME Devs spend their valuable time and money to work on MAME Projects. MAME has never been a paid project. It's always a volunteer project done using their talented skills. They also encourage those in the community who love MAME to contribute their time and money to help out in the project. It's been that way since the project was first started in 1997. It's their philosophy and want to maintain this. Why not just tell me something if I'm not doing enough to helpthe project rather than mocking me, bashing me, attacking me, or calling me names (troll, squirt, etc.), which I do not appreciate and not very nice of you.

>I see you trolling away from under your insignificant little bridge with your feeble little arguments about why these people
> people who already give away much of their valuable time and expertise as a donation to the project as a whole, are either purposefully trying to undermine you and your enjoyment
>by withholding new releases or should do more for you as you have the loudest voice. You being the hungry, ungrateful troll child under the bridge.
I may not have the largest voice on on the internet but I'm not a child. No one is trying to undermine by holding anything for me. Either you misunderstood what I said
or did not read my posts correctly. I never meant the way what you are saying about me.

>Others who already do so much for the project may have their own reasons, or reasons that you do not understand not to do something at this immediate point in time.

First off, I don't know you and you don't know me. I'm only limited what I can do. I can only do so much to help out. People who help out can only do only when they are capable of something.

>To quantify, something that you Gamerfan the troll are demanding right now is Wyvern FO to be uploaded and playable right now.
I seem to remember something about Wyvern F0 having unknown hardware and as being unmameable from a previous discussion.

I did not demand anything or anyone to added games nor I'm forcing anyone to add games. I'm not a troll like you are assuming. I was only curious and wondering. I also did not accuse anyone.
You sort of misunderstood what I meant. What I meant was I don't send funds to anyone especially arcade collectors hoarding the games and refuse to see the classic games emulated that's what I was
trying to say.

>I see you have squirmed out of the donation option in your second letter.
Your excuse being your seemingly poor current and future employment prospects, prospects which are probably related to your poor attitude towards others working within a group.

Employment??!!! I do not recall mentioning about employment. I never told you or anyone in mameoworld or anyone on the internet about this. My employment prospects is none of your business. That's personal and I don't share anything like this to anyone. You misunderstood what you read in my post. You did not read correctly. When I say financial matters it means financial issues. It means there are financial gaps in my life I need to deal with first before I can send funds again. My I never set my attitude towards the group with the negative aspects you have written about me. Otherwise, stop putting words in my mouth.

>Before you aim your pointy stick in my direction I feel that I have a right to speak on this topic as I have spent between $10,000 to $25,000 on buying PCB's, artwork, control panels and other assorted stuff to contribute to the project.
(I don't keep a tally and don't wish to.) Example
- The Japanese version of Space Intruder cost me $1,000 Australian to buy.

Well, I contribute to the project too to help with the purchases. Only when I'm able. But like I said, I can only so much since I'm limited what I can only do for the project.

>I am not hoarding it. I intend to put it into MAME - but the lack of access to the money to have it done professionally, or access to expensive technology such as a high resolution camera prohibits me from doing so ATM.

Sorry but I don't trust you anymore. I don't believe a single word you are saying.

God Bless You

I just read that explanation you wrote and you later deleted. All I can say very sorry to hear that. Based on the explanation you have written and later deleted, it seems to me that you had an agreement with Smitdogg which did not work out well or fell through. What is done has already happen. All you can do is learn from it. I have nothing to do with this so don't involve me in it as I have no clue what went wrong or who's right or wrong between the both of you. This is something you need to work it out with Smittdogg.

Maybe I'm a sadomasochist, but I miss the CPS2 and CPS3 decrypting days. The battles on these forums was incredible. I'm still amazed at the work that went into the proper emulation of those games. Some incredible talent that I can only dream of having went into those projects.
