From what I read in other places, the emulators that were removed were happily copying code from others without caring about licenses. So color me unmoved.
I know that in particular smf was very annoyed by the obvious lift of his gte(?) code. I'm sure he had nothing to do with the removal, but good riddance in any case.

Yeah, SNES9X developers complained that the guy was selling a derivative work when the license bans commercial use.
