There was a newsletter in the beginning of NES. You had to write to Nindendo USA to receive. It was the Nintendo Fun Club you see referenced in Mike Tyson's punch out.
Many secrets came out about games they were working on. And after release, even more secrets about them. Eventually, of course, these newsletters stopped and I guess Nintendo Power sprung up to fill the void. Curious if that magazine still exists.

i seen in a forum there might be a sequel in the works for 3ds.

I’m convinced Mario is a hobo.
He wakes up everyday in the same clothes, runs around in sewers, and collects coins for a living.
At the end of the day, he uses the coins to buy mushrooms

I used to get the newsletters. I wonder how much they'd sell for these days on eBay. The Nintendo collectors are the most insane of all video game collectors. 50 grand for some exercise game that sucks total ass. Total garbage.

I'v got a bunch of the Sega Visions mags. Pretty cool but I dunno if they're as collectibe as the Nintendo Powers.
