I don't get it, what's the big deal with Tesco? The shop didn't even look that big or out of place in the neighborhood. If you really don't like it, convince people not to shop there and it will go away. Tearing shit up and making life difficult for the people trying to live in the area seems counterproductive at best.
They *seemed* to be breaking shit with some purpose in mind, if the purpose really was Tesco. If they were just breaking shit for the hell of it, I think that would be standard hooliganism.

I don't get it either, really, I liked Tesco. The Tesco man dropped off our groceries nearly every week, which was handy since I preferred not driving on the wrong side of the road.
The police had been watching squatters who had taken over a house near tesco and had spotted them taking petrol bombs into the house. When the raided the house all hell broke loose others joined in against the police and people from towns arround the area looking for a fight came down. Some of those who had objected to the tesco be built apparently started to vandalise it and the rest followed!
