MAME 32-button cap?
#251858 - 04/15/11 09:07 AM

Hi, I've made a custom USB device that acts as a 64-button gamepad, the device works perfectly when testing it with the DirectX SDK Joystick Sample.

But MAME can't seem to recognize buttons higher than 32(0-31).
The dwButtons in input.c shows 64 buttons and it enumerates through 64 buttons and adds them to the list but maybe it's not polling them all.

Anyone got any ideas?

Why would you do that? I hate modern PS3/X360 controllers for having too many buttons to keep track of

Multiplayer mahjong controller is the only think I could think of... I agree most modern controllers have way to many buttons.

It's a controller. As I see it, no different than a GPWiz.

Consider it high comedy....sincere tragedy....whatever...don't take it personally.
